Job description

One of SGA's major management consulting clients is seeking a Business Process/Governance Operations Analyst to support the development, implementation, and ongoing management of governance processes, policies, procedures, and operational documentation across a large enterprise procurement and third-party operations environment.
This is not a traditional third-party risk or cybersecurity compliance role. Instead, the focus is on operational governance, process standardization, SOP development, and translating evolving business requirements into clear, actionable documentation and workflows.
The ideal candidate is highly consultative, naturally inquisitive, and comfortable working in fast-moving environments with evolving processes and priorities. This person will partner closely with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather information, identify process gaps, document workflows, and create governance artifacts that improve operational consistency and audit readiness.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and update governance documentation including policies, SOPs, standards, playbooks, workflows, process maps, and operational guidance materials
  • Facilitate working sessions with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements, understand current-state processes, and document operational procedures
  • Translate high-level governance, procurement, and compliance requirements into practical operational processes and documentation
  • Create and maintain process flows, workflow diagrams, governance artifacts, and standardized templates
  • Support policy and procedural change management efforts, including version control, approvals, and documentation updates
  • Organize and maintain centralized governance repositories, documentation libraries, and audit-ready evidence
  • Ensure governance documentation is accurate, actionable, and aligned with current operational practices
  • Support audit and compliance activities by preparing documentation packages and maintaining supporting evidence
  • Identify process gaps, documentation inconsistencies, and opportunities for operational improvement
  • Create executive-level summaries, presentations, and governance communications for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Collaborate across Procurement, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Business teams to support governance initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Procurement, Risk Management, Compliance, or related field
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOPs, policies, process documentation, workflows, or governance-related materials within a corporate environment
  • Strong business process analysis and documentation skills
  • Experience facilitating discussions with stakeholders and gathering operational requirements
  • Ability to synthesize complex or ambiguous information into clear, structured documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating executive-facing materials
  • Experience creating process flows or workflow diagrams using Visio or similar tools
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in evolving environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting procurement, supplier lifecycle management, governance, operational risk, or compliance-related functions
  • Familiarity with governance frameworks, audit processes, or operational controls
  • Experience within consulting, professional services, or fast-paced enterprise environments
  • Exposure to document management, workflow, or governance platforms such as SharePoint, ServiceNow, Archer, OneTrust, Coupa, or SAP Ariba
  • Background in business operations, governance PMO, process improvement, legal operations, or related disciplines
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled productivity or documentation tools is a plus
