Role Overview

Business Intelligence Developer โ€“ Barclays Services Corp., Whippany, NJ (Hybrid role, may telecommute pursuant to company policies).

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and improve software solutions using industryโ€‘aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
  • Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance; adhere to secure coding practices to protect sensitive data.
  • Perform unit testing, continuous integration and automated deployment to maintain high quality and agility.
  • Collaborate crossโ€‘functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration.
  • Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, and stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations.
  • Manage risk and strengthen controls related to software development; support business in achieving its strategic objectives within regulatory constraints.
  • Develop reports and dashboards in Business Objects, QlikView, and QlikSense; print in line with business requirements.
  • Organize or participate in stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and plan solutions.
  • Contribute to the definition of data development standards, design patterns, and techniques.
  • Produce detailed technical specifications and deliver to committed timescales.
  • Conduct design and code reviews for the development team.
Qualifications

Compensation & Benefits

Minimum Salary: $103,210 per yearโ€”Maximum Salary: $135,000 per year. Barclays employees are eligible for a competitive and generous benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), life insurance, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.
