Associate Business Development Representative

Location: Tukwila, WA

Job Type: Full-time

About the Role

Are you a tech-savvy professional with an interest in mechanical equipment and technical sales? We are looking for an Associate Business Development Representative who will play a key role in managing projects, creating custom equipment selection and quotations, and maintaining client relationships utilizing CRM tools.

What Youll Do
  • Project & Sales Support: Track project opportunities in Salesforce, interpret construction bid documents, and generate budget-pricing quotations and system proposals.

  • Technical Sizing & Documentation: Use manufacturer software to prepare necessary documents for Business Development Reps and clients.

  • Client & Engineer Engagement: Accompany reps on client visits, attend Lunch & Learns, and participate in industry associations (ASHRAE, ASPE) meetings and functions.

  • Training & Presentations: Assist in developing PowerPoint presentations, creating technical documents, and attending factory training sessions.

  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work alongside sales, quotation, and service teams to resolve technical questions and process orders.

What Were Looking For

Required:

  • Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.

  • Aptitude: Strong ability to understand physical and mechanical principles to evaluate how equipment works.

  • Communication: Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Education: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, equivalent technical degree, or related college coursework.

  • Software: Experience with Salesforce, FinancialForce, or similar CRM/ERP platforms.

  • Industry Experience: Inside or outside sales experience in hydronic, steam, HVAC&R, or commercial plumbing industries.
