General Summary/Responsibilities:

The Digital Health Sr. Business Analyst is the "right hand" to the Sr. Product Manager, with a mixture of domain, technical and product strategy skills. In the Agile team, the Digital Health Sr. Business Analyst is skilled in eliciting and communicating information to enable delivery. The Digital Health Sr. Business Analyst works closely with the business leader, developing close alignment with the Sr. Product Manager vision of the missions assigned and providing some context around market, competitive intelligence, customer needs and pain points to define the work (e.g. user stories with acceptance criteria). Must be able to think laterally and bring facts, figures, contacts and their deep expertise to solve problems that often only they fully understand. The Sr. Business Analyst shapes the details of process change, implementation and technical systems through detailed user stories and user experience research/insight. May also take lead in designing a smooth transition to the new process/workflow for the organization.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Defining business requirements, translating requirements to an Agile team, and achieve objectives of the team's mission assignment. Tracking team level metrics for multiple missions and teams simultaneously.
  • Content expertise for specific area of consumer journey. Highly competent in information gathering, problem solving, and thought leadership on an Agile team developing product for the organization. Identify exception cases, consumer tests, user story definitions, and use case valuation for decision-making

Essential Duties & Functions:

   Collaborate with a Sr. Product Manager to shape the end-to-end product strategy and determine business value
   Gather intelligence on existing clinical processes and expert input from relevant clinical stakeholders to elicit requirements to accomplish team goals
   Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria, working closely with design and technical leads
   Maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the squad (Agile team)
   Serve as the day to day contact for the team on clarification of requirements and driving user stories
   Exercise strong decision-making mandate across the team as a proxy to the Digital Health Product Management leadership
   Support the Digital Health Product Management leadership in collaborating with other teams and leadership to manage backlog refinement, plan sprints, and ensure team strategy aligns with overall product vision
   Define, implement and track performance metrics once solution enters production
   Prep and support the team on product demos

Other Duties & Functions:

   Other leadership requirements of Premier Health at a Product/Project Manager level
   Grow the digital capabilities of Premier Health and teach Agile methodologies
   Leadership of multiple missions as assigned.
 

Minimum Level of Education Required:  Associate's DegreeAssociate degree

Preferred experience: Experience in autonomously driving initiatives and improvements without needing close management, experience in writing and collaborating on user stories; some experience leading/working with teams in an agile setting as an analyst

Other experience requirements: Experience in facilitating agile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics (burndown chart, release burn up, etc.). Financial agility
