SUMMARY:
Responsible for actively promoting and selling North Shore Bank products and services, building account relationships and performing Teller duties. Performs sales support activities for sales area of the branch. On average, a minimum of 50% of activities will be devoted to sales and sales support. Perform office and administrative duties as assigned to support operational needs. Some Associate Bankers are assigned as Area Associate Bankers; staff in these roles are assigned a number of branch locations to support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES North Shore Bank's Position Descriptions are intended to describe only the major responsibilities of the job. You may be expected to perform other duties specified by your manager. Everyone is expected to contribute whatever efforts necessary to operate efficiently and effectively to insure the success of North Shore Bank.


SALES
•Opens new accounts and performs deposit account maintenance; responds to customers in a prompt and courteous manner; ensures required forms are completed accurately and that the customer fully understands the terms and conditions of the accounts; ensures the customer receives the proper disclosures.
•Has an appropriate blend of Teller referrals and production as required at branch level to achieve referral and point goals.
•Provides basic information on consumer loan products; refers potential consumer loan customers to an appropriate individual.
• Recognizes additional customer opportunities and provides qualified referrals to all branch business partners.
• Uses the internal prospect lists to make outbound calls. Participates in any call initiatives.
• Provides quality, personalized service to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Provides timely follow-up to clients by telephone, written correspondence, or personal contact.
• Strategizes with Branch Manager and Personal Banker for achievement of production goals.
• Follows North Shore Bank sales processes.

SALES SUPPORT
• Performs duties as a Teller and New Accounts area as required for branch and customer demands.
• Completes required customer files, documentation, and paperwork. Provides documentation/ paperwork support to personal banking area.
• Researches and follows up on incomplete/missing documentation.
• Assists customers in statement balancing and research.
• Prepares documents for re-titling of accounts.
• Provides any other sales support as required.
• Actively participates in sales, product knowledge, and service meetings.


OPERATIONS
• Runs transactions efficiently and accurately, and monitors own work for quality and quantity.
• May open/close branch as required.
• Follows standard operating procedures and security procedures.
• Answers questions from prospects or customers and directs customers to proper employees for answers to more complex problems and inquiries.
• Handles complex and non-routine inquiries by Tellers and customers concerning bank policy and operating procedures; researches and solves customer problems, referring more difficult situations to the manager.
• Displays good business judgment when waiving fees or negotiating deposit rates within established bank guidelines.
• Consistently performs North Shore Bank customer service standards with both external and internal customers.

COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS: May be required to register and maintain loan originator license through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry. Submit fingerprints, update registry and complete annual training required of licensed individuals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school education or equivalent and one year related sales and service experience required. Must have an interest in sales and exceptional customer service skills. Must have good working knowledge of personal deposit products and services and basic knowledge of our consumer loan products. Requires basic financial acumen. Requires proficiency with various computer systems and similar technology.
