Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to translate business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs for our
flagship Supply Chain Control Tower
. This includes supporting the
ground-up
implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications. This role serves as a senior technical contributor for project teams throughout the implementation and maintenance of these
new, high-impact
enterprise software solutions. In addition, this role personally develops and delivers complex code modules,
focusing heavily on robust backend data architecture, seamless data movement, and modern application development using Node.js BFF and React UI
, within various computing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Resolves complex problems across applications to drive improvements within products and platforms; contributes to projects with significant business impact and participates in planning, prioritization, and estimates
for foundational, zero-to-one builds
.
Develops integrated business and/or enterprise applications to ensure the solution is resilient, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with architectural standards,
with a strong focus on backend design and unified data architecture
.
Designs and implements seamless data movement patterns and robust backend systems, while connecting them to responsive frontend components using React and a Node.js Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layer.
Builds awareness and product alignment to enterprise recommended frameworks, tools, technologies, engineering platforms, and architectural design processes.
Supports operational excellence through disaster recovery and capacity planning, performance, regression and chaos testing, observability alerts and dashboards, and reliability processes and recovery runbooks.
Deconstructs complex problems into simple solutions that can evolve over time,
contributing to the architectural foundation for an entirely new platform
.
Applies engineering standards and best practices, including code quality analysis, test coverage, security principles such as authentication and authorization protocols, and Agile processes.
Mentors and advises other engineers by applying and sharing a strong understanding of enterprise and industry technologies, tools, methodologies, policies, standards, and best practices.
Continuously explores and recommends new enterprise software components and technologies
to support our next-generation Control Tower architecture
.
Continuously works to simplify solutions, optimize processes, remove bottlenecks, and resolve escalated technical issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
2 years of experience in software development or a related field
2 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC) through iterative agile development
2 years experience working with any of the following: frontend technologies (user interface/user experience), middleware (microservices and application programming interfaces), database technologies, or DevOps
Preferred Skills/Education
Experience writing technical documentation in a software environment and developing and implementing business systems within an organization.
