The BI Developer assists in back end and front-end development of Benchmark's BI platform and assists in the Business Intelligence initiatives where required.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Experience working with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Experienced creating SQL statements, triggers, stored procedures, and data extraction routines to import/export data from the repositories.
  • Demonstrates expertise in Query Optimization and Tuning
  • Experience running and supporting large scale database environments (1+ TB size) under high transaction volumes.
  • Experience in integration projects involving off-site/on-site environments and database administration in 24x7x365 high traffic internet applications environment.
  • Knowledge of database maintenance activities including backups, indexing, integrity, and consistency checking.
  • Knowledge in administration of SQL Server database environments (optimization/tuning/backup/recovery), including SQL Server Integration Services, clustering, partitioning, log shipping, replication, and other advanced SQL Server implementations.
  • Experience in database development in virtualized environments a plus
  • Strong analytical skills & ability to create and maintain a database environment to support increasingly complex business requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft's Power Suite (Power BI, Power Pivot, Power Query and Power QA) and SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Experience working with SQL Server Analysis Services (cubes).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to quickly understand advanced business rules (accounting, Human Resources, Legal).
  • Thrives in small, rapid development teams and meets deadline requirements. Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to quickly isolate and resolve production performance problems.
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years' experience. Knowledge of advanced SQL (Stored procedures, triggers, views, indexing, partitioning), MDX, virtual environments, good business acumen, strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and field priorities.
