About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking an experienced Active Directory Administrator to join us. This position is responsible for administering and maintaining the enterprise directory services environment, ensuring secure identity lifecycle management, authentication services, and directory availability for a geographically dispersed workforce.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting complex Microsoft Active Directory environments, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Group Policy, and identity management technologies while partnering with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and customer support teams to deliver secure and reliable enterprise services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain enterprise Active Directory and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) environments supporting user authentication and identity services.
  • Manage the complete identity lifecycle, including account provisioning, modifications, deprovisioning, and access reviews.
  • Create and maintain Organizational Units (OUs), security groups, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and delegated administrative permissions.
  • Support Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), and directory synchronization services.
  • Monitor directory health, replication, authentication services, and overall system performance.
  • Troubleshoot identity, authentication, authorization, and Group Policy issues across enterprise environments.
  • Collaborate with Information Security teams to implement identity governance, privileged access management, and Zero Trust security initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and configuration standards.
  • Support change management activities, system upgrades, and technology modernization initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal security policies, organizational standards, and ITIL service management practices.
Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft Active Directory in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID), Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and identity management.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Required Skills & Certifications: 

  • Experience supporting HHS or other Federal agencies.
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate or equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Microsoft Intune, or hybrid cloud identity solutions.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
