Job description

CIS Secure is seeking a Audio Visual (AV) Integration/Maintenance Technician for its Intrepid Solutions operating company to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Team comprised of AV Subject Matter Expert, AMX/Crestron/Extron programmers, engineers, integration, and maintenance technicians.  This person will provide audio visual (AV) communications and media support for AV-related system components and programs.  This AV Integration/Maintenance Technician would be supporting our intelligence community customer out of our Joint Base Anacostia/Bolling location. Responsibilities * Conduct hardware maintenance and minor installations on equipment.
* Undertake minor system tasks (e.g., loading software and rebooting systems) in support of hardware maintenance and operations functions.
* Install and incorporate new releases, updates, or other changes to COTS hardware and software (diagnostics failures or potential failure predictions).
* Operate and apply automated hardware management and diagnostics systems, including remote management and diagnostics) and interpret findings to maintain, repair, or upgrade hardware.
* Coordinate maintenance of AV equipment.
* Plan, execute, and provide recommendations for preventative maintenance.
* Provide recommendations on spares, spares program, planning, and tracking operational spares and bench stock.
* Provide technical assistance to responding field service personnel. OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS: This is a full-time non-exempt position with standard operating hours (6:00 AM-2:00 PM), Monday-Friday.     TRAVEL: Limited travel to various customer facilities located within the DMV region to help support the O&M Team. Qualifications CLEARANCE:   Active and current Top Secret (TS) upon application, required. The selected candidate would be required to acquire an SCI and CI Polygraph to meet the customer's onsite requirements.  Active TS/SCI with CI poly is required to start and for onsite work. EDUCATION: * Associates degree in Communications Electronics, Networking, OR equivalent electronics technical program Certificate from an accredited Trade School, College or University.
* Two years of work experience in the related technology area may be substituted for an Associate's Degree.
* Certification related to the technology is equivalent to two years of experience or the education requirement. CERTIFICATION(S):  * Audio Visual (AV) related certifications, desired. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * Perform AV system and video teleconference system troubleshooting and repair.
* Manage performance optimization and maintain high levels of availability.
* Provide customer support for AV-related needs.
* Ability to determine locations of subject, material, work procedures, sequence, of operations, and machine setups.
* Experience in troubleshooting/maintenance/repair of Telecommunications, Audio Video, or Video Teleconferencing systems, and equipment management.
* One or more of the following:
* Installing studio upgrades.
* AV cabling.
* Audio and Video systems.
* Computer-based hardware.
* Teleconferencing.
* Teleprompter.
* Backup files and software.
* Update drawings.
* Develop standard test procedures and equipment to conduct functional and operational tests.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Must be able to work on a ladder, lift, push and/or pull 50 pounds or more, stand for long periods, and be able to bend, kneel and work with arms raised for prolonged periods.
