Job description

Growing National Law firm has a remote opening for an Associate Attorney in New Mexico. You can live anywhere in New Mexico as it is a remote position with a full benefits package   

Purpose:

The Associate Attorney will manage cases with an emphasis on residential real estate litigation, mortgage and transactional matters and protect the client's interest in litigation proceedings and general collection cases.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage cases from inception to completion
  • Prepare analysis of case and advise client regarding strategies
  • Draft court pleadings, defense of motions
  • Attend court hearings, both telephonic and in person
  • Other duties and special projects as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Juris Doctor from accredited law school
  • 0-2 years of experience in the practice of law, preferably litigation, real estate or mortgage law
  • Admission to practice law in the state of New Mexico
  • Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must have the ability to interpret client systems
  • Must be proficient in software tools including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet
  • Ability to manage and prioritize large caseloads
