Associate Attorney โ€“ Insurance Defense


An established and growing insurance defense law firm in Elizabethtown is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is motivated, organized, and eager to develop a successful litigation practice in a collaborative environment.


Responsibilities


The successful candidate will manage cases from inception through resolution, including:


  • Drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conducting written discovery and managing the discovery process.
  • Taking and defending depositions.
  • Preparing cases for trial and representing clients in court.
  • Providing strategic legal advice to clients on insurance-related matters.
  • Negotiating settlements and participating in settlement conferences and mediations.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.

 

Qualifications


The ideal candidate will:


  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to client service.
  • Possess excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Be highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Exercise sound judgment and the ability to handle matters with increasing independence.


Prior litigation or insurance defense experience is preferred but not required. We welcome applications from motivated attorneys seeking to build a long-term career in civil litigation.
