Flaherty Sensabaugh Bonasso PLLC is a dynamic law firm with a strong focus on high-stakes, complex litigation. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional legal representation while fostering a collaborative and professional work environment. We are currently seeking a full-time Associate Litigation Attorney located in our Charleston, WV office.
Position Overview: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling mass litigation matters, including multidistrict litigation (MDL), class actions, and complex product liability or consumer claims. This role requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a high-volume caseload with precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal
  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Conduct and defend depositions
  • Develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members

Requirements:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active and in good standing with the West Virginia Bar
  • 2-3+ years of litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on mass litigation
  • Experience with MDLs, class actions, or large-scale product liability litigation strongly preferred
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
