Job description

The law firm has been serving both local and institutional clients for over sixty years. Our primary areas of focus include commercial litigation, creditor's rights law, bankruptcy, business counseling and transactions as well as real estate. Our team is comprised of a dedicated staff of attorneys, legal assistants, and administrative staff dedicated to delivering experienced legal representation. We are also active in the community as our staff is participates in various community service organizations and projects.

Role Description

Fast track advancement opportunity. The Attorney should be a motivated self starter and will be responsible for a full caseload, conducting legal research, and representing clients in a variety of legal matters throughout New York State. Daily tasks include drafting pleadings, conduction legal research, appearing in court, negotiating settlements, and advising clients on a variety of issues.

Attorneys are also paid for any work they originate.

Qualifications

  • Commercial litigation, commercial collections or foreclosure experience is a plus.

  • A small book of business in any practice area is a plus.

  • Strong Negotiation skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of New York
