Winget, Spadafora and Schwartzberg, LLP seeks a Senior Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of litigation experience to join its headquarters in the Financial District. NY bar admission required and NJ admission a plus for diverse practice including professional liability, medical malpractice, securities litigation, labor and employment and insurance broker liability. We are looking for candidates with experience in civil litigation and a demonstrated ability to independently move cases toward resolution or trial.

Position Summary
  • Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Efficient management of multiple cases.
  • Timely preparation of pleadings, motions and discovery.
  • Participate in mediations, hearings and depositions.
  • Evaluation of findings and development of strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
  • Ontime completion of reports/projects, in adherence to partner and client needs/guidelines.
  • Accurate and timely recording of billable hours, in adherence to client guidelines and Firm policy.
  • Position Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to comprehend complex matters, to identify and to articulate core issues, and to understand applicable legal principles.
  • Possess keeneye for detail, coupled with exceptional research and proofreading abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong research and legal writing skills.
  • Associate Requirements
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • 36 years of civil litigation experience.
  • NY bar admission required, NJ bar admission preferred.
  • A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.     Salary Range:

    $105,000 - $150,000 (not including bonus)
