ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY (Transportation) - Hybrid
Morrison Mahoney LLP is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity for attorneys with 5+ years of civil litigation experience handling the defense of Transportation matters.

We provide a competitive salary range of $130,000-$185,000, commensurate with experience.
To be considered, a qualified candidate will have the ability to manage cases from inception through resolution. This includes (but is not limited to):
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Preparing and filing dispositive motions
  • Prior ADR experience handling arbitrations and mediations
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive status reports for insurers

A Day in the Life of an Associate Attorney
As an Associate Attorney at Morrison Mahoney, you will take on a dynamic and engaging role that offers an ideal balance of independent responsibility and collaborative teamwork. You will manage your own caseload from inception through resolution, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests; preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials; and ensuring meticulous compliance with all court deadlines and scheduling requirements.
In this role, you will work closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to develop and execute effective litigation strategies. Clear and consistent client communication will be essential, including providing regular updates and comprehensive written status reports. You will also conduct in-depth legal research, prepare strategic memoranda, and collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management.

What Matters Most
An Associate Attorney handling Transportation defense cases will need a robust set of skills and qualifications, all of which are key attributes for success in this position:
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar.
