Description

PAY: $50,000-$200,000

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under general supervision of the Sales Store Manager, the Sleep Sales Associate primary responsibility is to provide the best service whether or not the customer chooses to make a purchase. Responsible for maintaining a friendly and professional environment by greeting and acknowledging every customer and co-worker that approaches. Jobrequires being reliable, responsible, and dependable. Must have attention to detail and be thorough in completing work tasks. Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions. Effectively communicate and carry out merchandising task, customer service issues and requests to management. Perform any other duties as directed by management.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: Sleep Sales Associate assist with closing bedding sales; assist in training retail sales associates; keep bedding departments pristine and as planned at all times; be responsible for all signage in the bedding department; communicate with all interested parties all pertinent information; tag all As-Is and clearance items; continuously work and mark down clearance items and make sure clearance bedding is executed “as planned”; proficiently sell though all closeout merchandise at the highest gross possible; work with corporate merchandising to keep efficient flow of discounted goods and to eliminate unsampled merchandise; coordinate REP training with store trainers or managers; report on the performance of the department; help all comfort reselections; any other duties as directed by management.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to communicate effectively with team members; positive attitude when working with customers; ability to assist in loading mattresses (lift up to 50 lbs); Advanced computer skills; knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.

Heavy Work: Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Work Environment: Indoor climate controlled environment.
