We are seeking a full time Maintenance Associate to work at a Garden Style property with 250-300 units. The Maintenance Associate will be responsible for a variety of duties to ascertain we are meeting our company goals.

JOB SUMMARY: Maintenance Associate is responsible for the upkeep of grounds by removing, cleaning, and collecting all trash, debris and light vegetation from the property's amenities, building exteriors, offices, parking lots, and all sections the make up the whole of a common area of the community property. Additionally, the will act as a limited maintenance personnel by assisting the onsite maintenance staff in their duties as needed.

Maintenance Associate

  • Assist with building inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Clean and maintain the building, including sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, and keeping the entrance clutter-free.
  • Provide customer service, such as directing guests to the reception area or appropriate office/room as needed.
  • Fix minor technical issues, such as changing light bulbs.
  • Report damages and notify maintenance technicians, maintenance supervisors, and/or office staff.
  • Maintain stock of cleaning supplies.
  • Follow evacuation rules in case of emergencies.
  • Empty and clean trash containers.
  • Conduct daily cleaning of interior and exterior areas of buildings, including additional seasonal cleaning tasks.
  • Pick up and remove trash and debris from the property.
  • Perform light landscaping such as minor excavation work or removing foliage.
  • Contact maintenance technicians and/or maintenance supervisor for maintenance tasks that require two or more people.
  • Other duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor and/or property manager.


Job Requirements

  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to understand instructions verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, multi-task, and have good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work around chemical cleaning solutions.
  • Ability to frequently stand and walk.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies, often weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights, including on roofs and in attics.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, such as crawl spaces or mechanical rooms.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate equipment and tools, including power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, rain, or snow.
  • Ability to travel between properties as needed, including driving a vehicle or using public transportation.

Typical Work:

Environment/Conditions: In constant movement around property visiting different work locations within the property.

Safety Standards: Always maintaining adherence to safety protocols and keeping PPE equipment in place.

Essential Functions/Physical Requirements: Lifting and carrying material, installing items including electrical, cleaning, organizing, cleaning out units, hauling large trash, moving large items such as furniture and appliances.

Equipment Used: Hand Tools, ladders, yard maintenance equipment, dollies, vacuum, electric tools, cleaning products.

Scheduling:

  • Employees will be working 5 days a week: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
  • Employees may be scheduled to work on weekends.
