Job description

SUMMARY

To act as a physical loss prevention deterrent for the store and company. To protect store property, assets, customers, and Associates through proper utilization of NFI Loss Prevention policies and procedures. To respond to emergency store situations and disturbances that may occur at any of the area stores that LP Agent is responsible for. Use store and company security systems to monitor the store operations for potential loss and safety concerns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Looks for and may assist in the investigation of potential internal Associate theft situations.
  • Responds to emergency situations or disturbances that may threaten the store, customers, or Associates.
  • Apprehension and arrest of shoplifters
  • Completes detailed reports
  • Observation of customer and Associate actions
  • Provides a safe and customer friendly store environment
  • Communicates and assists law enforcement with requests
  • Keeps store management, Asset Protection Manager, and Area LP Lead Agent up to date with security or safety concerns/issues.
  • Follows and understands all company policies and procedures
  • Successfully completes company use of force policy training as well as first aid and first responder training.

  • or a minimum of 3 to 6 months related work experience or training or past military security training and experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers, or Associates.
