Job Description:

Overview

This entrylevel Cost Accountant role is designed for recent accounting graduates or professionals who want handson experience in how products are made, how costs flow through a manufacturing business, and how financial insights drive decisions. You'll work closely with experienced accountants and crossfunctional partners, gaining exposure to costing, inventory, ERP systems, and operational processes while building the foundation for a longterm finance career.

You don't need deep costing experience-we're looking for curiosity, initiative, and a strong accounting base. You'll receive guidance from senior team members while taking on meaningful work that grows in complexity as you do.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze production costs - Review material, labor, and overhead expenses to understand product and site performance.
  • Support cost of sales reporting - Help determine accurate cost of goods sold and other key financial measures.
  • Capture and classify cost data - Work with product lines, projects, and departments to ensure clean, reliable cost inputs.
  • Perform variance analysis - Compare actual vs. projected costs and help explain what's driving changes.
  • Provide insights for decisionmaking - Deliver costrelated data that leaders use for planning, forecasting, and operational improvements.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts - Gain exposure to inventory processes and controls.
  • Other duties as assigned-your scope will grow as your skills do.

Experience & Education

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0-3 years of internship or business experience, preferably within accounting.
  • Basic accounting knowledge required; costing experience is a plus but not necessary.
