Job description

CAE is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Training Instructor to join its Maintenance Training Center of Excellence in the United States. This role is ideal for experienced aircraft technicians who are passionate about aviation and motivated to share their expertise through instruction.
CAE provides a comprehensive training program to transition experienced maintenance professionals into worldclass instructors and subject matter experts.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Deliver classroom and handson instruction using aircraft and/or simulation tools.
  • Administer theoretical examinations and practical assessments as required.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate training records for all customer training activities.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the development, update, and maintenance of instructor and customer training materials.
  • Support the development of new training courses and modules as required.
  • Prepare training environments and materials prior to the start of training sessions.
  • Maintain current subject knowledge and complete all required recurrent training.
  • Provide a professional, customerfocused training experience.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience working on one or more of the following aircraft types: Gulfstream G450, G550, G650, G500, or G600.
  • Valid FAA A&P, Transport Canada AME, EASA, or equivalent aircraft maintenance license.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications and internet tools.
  • Demonstrated customer focus and a passion for knowledge sharing.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during instruction or demonstrations.
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry training equipment or aircraft components up to 25-30 lbs (11-14 kg).
  • Ability to climb stairs and access training devices or aircraft areas as required.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periods while developing or updating training materials.
  • Ability to travel globally up to 30-40%, which may include long flights and extended periods in classrooms or customer sites.
  • Must have sufficient mobility, vision, and dexterity to operate training devices, classroom equipment, and relevant tools safely.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior instructional or training experience.
  • Experience in aviation training environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of aircraft maintenance training practices and methodologies.
