Work EnvironmentThis position is primarily onsite, providing care in the homes of patients throughout the Fort Myers Beach area. Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in their homes to assess their physical capabilities and limitations associated with post-injury, post-surgery, and chronic medical conditions.
- Create individualized treatment plans that incorporate diverse therapeutic methods, such as targeted exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of assistive devices, ensuring optimal recovery and mobility outcomes for patients.
- Document treatment progress meticulously, analyze patient responses, and adjust therapeutic goals as necessary based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
- Provide education and training for both patients and their family members on self-management strategies and the proper use of assistive devices to enhance independence in daily activities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including medical professionals and caregivers, to ensure continuity of care and holistic treatment approaches.
- Stay abreast of advancements in the field of physical therapy through regular participation in workshops, research, and professional networking activities.
As a Physical Therapist at Cottage Physical Therapy, you will work with a diverse patient population, primarily comprising adults recovering from conditions such as orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, and age-related impairments. Our focus on individualized care means you will design specific treatment regimes suited to each patient’s unique needs, enhancing their ability to perform daily activities independently.
Qualifications- A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
- Current state licensure in Physical Therapy to practice in Florida.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient and team interactions.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and documentation systems.
- A readiness to be flexible and adapt to varied patient needs and work environments.
- Experience in home care therapy or outpatient settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with assistive device usage and training would be a plus.

The salary for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
