Position Summary
As the second-in-command to the Executive Director, the Assisted Living Director is a key member of the community's leadership team and plays an integral role in the day-to-day success of the community. This leader oversees all Assisted Living operations while partnering closely with the Executive Director to drive resident satisfaction, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and team engagement.
This position serves as a trusted leadership partner, helping execute the community's vision, mentoring department leaders, solving operational challenges, and ensuring exceptional care is delivered every day. It is an outstanding opportunity for someone preparing to advance into an Executive Director role in the future.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Executive Director's primary leadership partner for Assisted Living operations
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Caregivers and Medication Technicians
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and retain exceptional team members
  • Ensure resident assessments, service plans, and care documentation meet quality and regulatory standards
  • Promote resident safety, dignity, and exceptional quality of care
  • Build trusted relationships with residents, families, physicians, and healthcare providers
  • Monitor staffing, scheduling, department performance, and operational outcomes
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Assist the Executive Director with community leadership initiatives and operational priorities
  • Help drive occupancy through exceptional resident and family satisfaction

Qualifications
We're seeking an experienced senior living leader with a proven ability to inspire teams and achieve outstanding results.
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Leadership experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Senior Living
  • Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing healthcare teams
  • Strong knowledge of resident assessments, care planning, and state regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Passion for serving older adults while promoting independence and dignity
  • Nevada Medication Technician certification preferred

Schedule
  • Full-time
  • Primarily Monday-Friday
  • Occasional evenings, weekends, and leadership on-call responsibilities as needed
