We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Physician Assistant to join our team at the Brook Physician Assistant Clinic in Elmira, New York. In this full-time position, you will play a central role in assessing, diagnosing, planning, and implementing medical care for surgical patients in collaboration with supervising physicians. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and review patient medical histories to identify health needs and concerns.
  • Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests such as blood tests and imaging studies (e.g., X-rays) to support clinical decision-making.
  • Diagnose and treat a spectrum of health conditions, using your expertise in family and surgical medicine.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients, considering both chronic and infectious diseases.
  • Prescribe medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment plans as necessary for optimal health outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient records using electronic health record systems to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families on a range of topics, including disease prevention and health promotion.
  • Engage in daily rounds in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality follow-up care and seamless transitions for patients.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in primary care through ongoing research and professional development opportunities.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 140,000 to USD 160,000, commensurate with experience.
