Job description

VPT Rad has an immediate opening for an Office Assistant to provide part-time support for our Radiation and Test Services Laboratory located in Chelmsford, MA. Hours for this position are somewhat flexible, not to exceed 20 hours per week.


Qualified candidates will be highly organized with strong communication and customer service skills. Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Office and have an ability and eagerness to lend a hand where needed. Previous front desk experience is a plus.


As an Office Assistant, you will perform a variety of administrative and office support duties including, but not limited to:

  • Receive, organize, and ship packages and materials.
  • Maintain inventory, stock supplies, and keep storage areas organized.
  • Support daily office operations, including kitchen, conference room, and front desk upkeep.
  • Greet visitors, customers, and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as data entry, support for invoicing, accounts payable, and other business operations as needed.
  • Coordinate local pickups and deliveries as needed.
  • Monitor and replenish office, kitchen, and shipping supplies.
  • Help maintain clean, organized, and presentable office and warehouse spaces.
  • Assemble furniture and assist with basic office maintenance projects.
  • Provide general support to office and lab teams as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other administrative, operational, and facilities-related duties as assigned.

Because of the nature of the position, a US Person is required.


The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00 per hour.


This is a temporary position with the potential for permanent placement.
