Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide support to physicians and other healthcare professionals by assisting with patient care, administrative tasks, and various other duties in a medical office or clinic setting.

Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Obtain and record patient vital signs, medical history, and other pertinent information
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, such as blood draws and urine tests
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits
- Complete and maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Assist with insurance verification, coding and billing
- Provide patient education and instruction on treatment plans, medications, and preventative care
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification is preferred
- 1-2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in computer skills and electronic health record systems
- CPR certification is required
