The Opportunity We are seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Pheonix / Scottsdale team for Summer 2026 (full-time, mid-May through mid-August). This internship provides hands-on experience in civil engineering design, project documentation, and site development while offering exposure to the professional path toward licensure. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and consultants on active projects.
  • Apply classroom learning to real-world design and documentation.
  • Gain exposure to land development, site planning, and infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do
  • Use CAD software to prepare design documents from sketches, notes, and instructions.
  • Draft detailed drawings for residential, commercial, and municipal projects.
  • Translate markups into revised drawings and review for completeness and accuracy.
  • Analyze maps, surveys, soil and hydrology reports, and other data to support design decisions.
  • Assist with calculations and technical documentation under the supervision of licensed engineers.

What You Bring
  • Enrolled in a Civil Engineering program; entering final year preferred.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred).
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
