Oahu-Based | Full-Time | Paid Training | Growth Opportunity

SoftWash Hawaii is hiring a small number of Assistant Technicians to join our field team on Oahu.
This is not a “helper” position. This is a hands-on field role for someone who wants to learn, grow, take ownership, and work toward becoming a Lead Technician as opportunities become available.
We are not looking for everyone. We are looking for the right individuals — people who are reliable, physically capable, coachable, respectful, and willing to be held to a higher standard.
Who This Role Is For
This role is for someone who:
  •  Shows up on time
  •  Takes pride in physical work
  •  Accepts correction without ego
  •  Can follow systems and safety procedures
  •  Works well with a team
  •  Respects customers, coworkers, and company equipment
  •  Wants long-term growth, not just a paycheck
  •  Can work without constant reminders or micromanagement
Experience in soft washing is not required.
Character, reliability, coachability, and accountability are required.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Assistant Technician, you will work alongside our Lead Technician and field team to help execute professional exterior cleaning and preservation services.
You will assist with:
  •  Preparing service vehicles, equipment, soaps, tools, and safety gear
  •  Working outdoors in Hawaiʻi’s heat, humidity, wind, and weather
  •  Roof cleaning, exterior surface cleaning, solar panel cleaning, siding, walkways, and other services
  •  Working from ladders, roofs, and elevated surfaces using proper safety systems
  •  Lifting, moving, and handling equipment up to 75 lbs.
  •  Protecting landscaping, windows, vehicles, and surrounding property
  •  Following structured systems and job-site procedures
  •  Maintaining a clean, organized, professional service vehicle
  •  Completing end-of-day cleanup and equipment reset procedures
  •  Representing SoftWash Hawaii professionally on job sites
Growth Path
This position is designed as an entry point into a larger career path.
Assistant Technicians who prove they are reliable, coachable, safe, consistent, and capable of taking ownership may have the opportunity to advance into a Lead Technician position.
High-performing team members may also grow into advanced field roles involving leadership, customer communication, sales support, and additional earning potential.
We promote based on performance, consistency, attitude, and results — not simply time served.
Pay & Earning Potential
Assistant Technician

  •  $16–$18/hour
  •  1%–2% production commission on jobs physically worked
  •  Paid training in systems, safety, equipment, and field execution
Example:
 $18/hour x 40 hours = $720/week
 Average job: $3,500 x 2% = $70/job
 4 jobs/week = $280
 Potential weekly earnings: approximately $1,000/week
Lead Technician Growth Path

  •  $18–$20/hour
  •  3% production commission on jobs physically worked
  •  Increased responsibility in job execution, safety, and field leadership
Super Technician Advanced Role
For individuals who demonstrate strong performance, ownership, professionalism, and leadership. This role may include field execution, client-facing responsibilities, sales support, and additional commission opportunities.
Initial 21-Day Field Evaluation Period
This position begins with an initial 21-day field evaluation period.
During the first three weeks, SoftWash Hawaii will evaluate reliability, work habits, safety awareness, coachability, physical capability, communication, ability to follow systems, and overall fit with company standards.
You will receive weekly feedback during this period.
At the end of the 21 days, SoftWash Hawaii will determine whether to continue employment, provide additional training if appropriate, or discontinue employment if the role is not the right fit.
Requirements
To be considered, you must:
  •  Currently live on Oahu
  •  Be able to commute to Ewa Beach, HI 96706
  •  Have reliable transportation
  •  Have a valid driver’s license
  •  Provide a driver abstract
  •  Pass a third-party background check
  •  Complete a drug screening
  •  Complete a DISC profile assessment
  •  Be physically capable of outdoor field work
  •  Be comfortable working from ladders, roofs, and elevated surfaces
  •  Follow PPE and safety procedures
  •  Be responsible, reliable, coachable, and accountable
