Web Designer
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Design, develop, and maintain web-based interfaces and digital experiences supporting Transformation Strategy, Enablement, and Service Experience initiatives.
  • Create responsive, user-friendly, and accessible web pages, portals, dashboards, and microsites that enhance customer and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support the design, maintenance, and enhancement of ColdFusion-based web applications and supporting components.
  • Develop and maintain web content, landing pages, and user experiences within IPG Landing and related web environments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, program teams, and technical personnel to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective web solutions.
  • Support web design and content management activities for IST, SIA, Trip Tracker, and related enterprise applications.
  • Design wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and page layouts that align with branding, usability, and accessibility standards.
  • Develop and maintain front-end components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
  • Ensure websites and web applications comply with Section 508 accessibility requirements and industry best practices.
  • Perform website testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance support activities.
  • Monitor website functionality, performance, and user experience metrics and recommend enhancements.
  • Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and content owners to implement new web features and functionality.
  • Support content updates, change requests, and website modernization efforts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve web-related issues, defects, and usability concerns.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, design standards, style guides, and user support materials.
  • Participate in project planning meetings, status reviews, and stakeholder working sessions.
  • Support digital transformation and service experience initiatives through innovative web design and user-centric solutions.
  • Ensure consistency of web content, navigation, branding, and user experience across supported platforms.
  • Assist with deployment, release management, and production support activities.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on website usability, accessibility, performance, and customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience supporting IT programs, systems, websites, or web-based applications.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining websites and web applications.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe ColdFusion and supporting web application environments.
  • Experience supporting IPG Landing, IST, SIA, Trip Tracker, or similar web-based platforms and services.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design principles.
  • Experience creating wireframes, mockups, and user interface designs.
  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design best practices.
  • Experience implementing Section 508 accessibility requirements and web accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and web publishing processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • U.S. Citizen, and ability to get the clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and/or Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) programs.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, or similar design tools.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform, or related enterprise platforms.
  • Experience supporting customer experience (CX), digital transformation, or service modernization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of web analytics and reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience supporting Agile development and content management processes.
  • Relevant certifications in Web Design, UX/UI Design, Accessibility, Adobe technologies, or related disciplines.
