Compensation: The hourly wage ranges from $20.51 to $26.25, depending on experience, along with additional shift differentials.

Our organization’s Diagnostic Imaging Departments conduct a variety of examinations, including X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and PET/CT, across multiple locations. We collaborate closely with partners to fulfill the imaging requirements of our community and support various departments such as the Emergency Department, Operating Room, Inpatient Floors, and Family Birthing Center.

The Radiology Assistant / Transporter is responsible for safely transporting patients to and from the Radiology Services Department, ensuring a positive experience while considering the patient's condition. This role does not involve direct supervision of other staff members.

• Adhere to established procedures to accurately verify and transport patients by checking identification and confirming with nursing staff.
• Transport patients to and from radiology, the Emergency Department, and inpatient areas using wheelchairs, beds, or gurneys, while assisting with proper lifting techniques.
• Monitor patients and equipment during transport, reporting any unusual occurrences and documenting the patient's condition for clinical staff.
• Provide comfort and support to patients and their families, helping to alleviate anxiety related to the Radiology process.
• Inform accompanying individuals about waiting areas, expected timelines, and procedures.
• Assist with the transport of non-patient items, such as laboratory specimens and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of radiology transport equipment.
• Safely handle medical equipment, including IV pumps, oxygen tanks, and patient charts.
• Support clerical duties in Radiology as needed, including stocking supplies.
• Follow safety protocols and infection control guidelines during patient and equipment transport.

Must be able to wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to perform job duties safely.
