The North Carolina State Vehicle Inspector is responsible for performing official safety and emissions inspections in compliance with standards set by the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles. This position ensures that vehicles meet all required safety regulations by inspecting key components such as brakes, tires, lights, steering, suspension, windshield wipers, mirrors, horn, and exhaust systems. The inspector accurately documents inspection results, communicates pass or failure results clearly to customers, and applies inspection stickers according to state guidelines. In addition to inspections, the role may assist with general automotive services and shop operations while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate holds a valid North Carolina Vehicle Inspector License, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and provides excellent customer service in a fast-paced automotive service setting.
Compensation: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
