Job description


The General Service Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance, inspection, and minor repair of vehicles in a fast-paced automotive environment. This position plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction by assisting with tire services, oil changes, vehicle inspections, parts handling, and general shop support. The technician will also be expected to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform express services such as tire installation and balancing, oil and fluid changes, battery installation, and wiper/headlight replacement.
  • Complete Missouri State Vehicle Inspections and warranty checks.
  • Conduct digital vehicle inspections, documenting notes and photos for service records.
  • Transport customer vehicles to and from sublet shops and shuttle customers as needed.
  • Pick up and deliver parts from local warehouses and vendors.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels, organize stockrooms, and report supply needs.
  • Assist other technicians with repair tasks and diagnostics.
  • Keep workstations and shared shop areas clean and organized.
  • Attend team meetings and participate in on-the-job and formal training sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies.
  • Produce accurate, legible documentation of services performed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Entry-level. Six (6) months of relevant automotive experience preferred but not required.

Licenses and Certifications (Preferred but not required):

  • Missouri State Vehicle Inspector’s License.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Skills and Competencies:
