Assistant Ugc information

What is an assistant UGC?

Assistant UGCs, or Assistant User-Generated Content creators, are individuals who help brands or companies produce authentic content such as reviews, unboxing videos, tutorials, and testimonials. Their main role is to assist in creating engaging and relatable digital content that resonates with target audiences on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Assistant UGCs often collaborate with marketing teams to brainstorm ideas, shoot videos, edit footage, and ensure content aligns with brand messaging. They may also help moderate user submissions, manage content calendars, and analyze performance metrics. This role is increasingly important as authentic content becomes central to digital marketing strategies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an assistant UGC?

To thrive as an Assistant UGC Manager, you need a solid understanding of digital marketing, content strategy, and social media platforms, often supported by a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), social media analytics tools, and basic photo/video editing software is typically required. Strong communication, creativity, and organizational skills help you engage communities and manage multiple content streams effectively. These skills are crucial to ensure authentic brand engagement, efficient content moderation, and successful UGC campaigns.

What are the typical challenges faced by an assistant UGC in managing user-generated content, and how can I prepare for them?

As an Assistant UGC (User-Generated Content), you’ll often encounter challenges such as moderating large volumes of content for quality and compliance, handling sensitive or inappropriate submissions, and ensuring timely responses to user contributions. Preparing for these challenges involves developing strong organizational skills, learning content moderation tools, and staying updated on platform guidelines and community standards. Collaboration with content creators, community managers, and technical teams is frequent, so effective communication and teamwork are essential for success.

What You'll Do

Affiliate Program Coordination

Identify and recruit potential affiliate partners to expand Mango's affiliate network.

Process and review affiliate applications and manage coupon/promo codes.

Track affiliate performance using the affiliate platform (e.g., Impact) and flag opportunities or issues as they arise.

Handle day-to-day affiliate communication and support requests.

UGC & Influencer Coordination

Source and reach out to potential UGC creators and influencers to expand Mango's partner network.

Coordinate content usage rights and maintain ongoing relationships with active creators.

Track deliverables and follow up on outstanding content from partners.

Support execution of paid content creation within approved budget parameters.

Curate and repost affiliate- and influencer-created content across Mango's social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Reddit, Bluesky, LinkedIn).

Schedule posts according to the established content calendar.

    Create original content as needed.

Monitor comments and messages for basic community engagement and escalate as needed.

Reporting & Support

Maintain organized records of affiliate and influencer relationships, deliverables, and performance (Asana, files, tracking sheets).

Prepare regular affiliate and social performance summaries.

Support execution of paid social advertising within approved budget parameters.

What We're Looking For

1-3 years of experience in social media coordination, affiliate marketing, or partnership/outreach support.

Strong written communication and organizational skills.

Comfortable with outreach and relationship-building, including cold outreach to prospective affiliates and creators.

Familiarity with affiliate platforms (e.g., Impact) or willingness to learn.

Basic experience with content scheduling tools is a plus.
