Job Purpose: The purpose of the School Treasurer is to assist the Building Principals in the business functions of the schools. Responsible for assisting the Building Principals in overseeing the school's extra curricular and food service financial operations, including budget management, banking responsibilities and accounts receivable. Responsible for tracking, disbursing and reconciling deposits made to extra curricular school accounts. Provide customer service to the school community.
General Duties:
Extra-Curricular/Accounting
- Collecting and receipting all money for extra curricular activities and food service
- Writing daily deposit slips and depositing money
- Posting all transactions in the school information system.
- Making data entry on the school's computer system
- Generating reports as needed
- Balancing (monthly) and printing reports for Food Service.
- Shall meet all guidelines and standards set by State Board of Accounts
- Assisting Athletic Director with preparing gate money boxes for home events
- Process credit card transactions and balance individual settlements to monthly statements
- Work with club sponsors providing accounts receivable.
- Check and balance monthly reports with expenditure, fee, encumbered, and revenue reports from Business Manager

Cafeteria Accounting/Cashier
Duties:
- Learn and follow pricing system
- Learn meal components for reimbursable meals
- Learn and follow ticket procedures as set up by the Cafeteria Manager.
- Be at his/her station and prepared for customers when serving begins.
- Be alert for petty thievery and shall report such incidents to the Building Principals.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager, Director of Food Services, the Building Principals, and/or the Superintendent of Schools.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Clerical skills - Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as telephones, copier, fax machine, email, adding machine, etc.
- Computer literate knowledge of Word and Excel
- Organization skills
- Skills in working people (staff, students and parents)
- Skill in the area to be assigned
- Such other qualifications as the Building Principals may find appropriate and acceptable.
- Shall possess and be able to demonstrate a cooperative attitude in accepting and completing work assignments.
- Shall be experienced in the use of a cash register.
- Shall demonstrate both quickness and accuracy in using a cash register.
- Shall maintain proper confidentiality regarding students who receive free/reduced breakfast/lunch.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager
