PRN Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine Physician Opportunity Near Miramar Beach, FL Overview

We are actively seeking qualified physicians for a unique opportunity to perform a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) exams. This PRN position offers ongoing availability for Board Certified physicians specializing in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). The role involves interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, encompassing range of motion testing and muscle strength assessments. The exams will cover a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury cases.

  • Position Type: PRN basis, ongoing
  • Specialties Accepted: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
  • Examinations:
    • Interview-based assessments
    • Physical assessments: range of motion, muscle strength
    • Evaluation of traumatic brain injury
  • No Prescribing/Treatment: Examinations only
  • DMA Certification: Available (CME credits)
  • Equipment: Own Goniometer required
  • Knowledge in:
    • Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, Cardio
    • METs testing
    • Evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
  • Technology Requirements:
    • Personal laptop (NO Apple Laptops/MACs)
    • Training provided for Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
  • Reporting:
    • DBQs to be submitted within 48 hours
    • Standardized form completion, no narrative reports
  • Evaluations: Completed in VES's provider portal
Qualifications
  • Board Certification: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
  • DMA Certification: Required (can obtain during privileges)
  • Equipment: Goniometer
  • Experience:
    • Proficient in METs testing
    • Evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
  • Technology: Personal laptop (NO Apple Laptops/MACs)
