Job description

Our client in Downtown West Palm Beach is seeking a Transportation Engineer to join their team. This person will manage transportation and roadway engineering work, including traffic, transit, and active transportation projects. You’ll lead planning and engineering efforts, manage consultants, support public engagement, and ensure transportation projects meet City, County, State, and Federal standards.


Key responsibilities

  • Manage transportation planning and engineering projects (traffic, transit, bike/pedestrian)
  • Lead traffic studies, data analysis, and transportation evaluations
  • Develop RFPs/RFQs/ITBs and manage engineering consultants
  • Review development and site plans for traffic impacts and compliance
  • Support railroad crossings, right‐of‐way permits, and road closures
  • Assist with federal and state transportation grants
  • Prepare materials and recommendations for City Commission agendas
  • Present at public meetings and respond to resident and stakeholder concerns
  • Support budget planning and may supervise staff
