Senior transportation engineers with extensive experience, advanced certifications, and leadership roles can earn salaries approaching or exceeding $300,000 annually, especially in high-cost-of-living areas or consulting firms. This role is typically an entry-level position that offers opportunities to learn and grow within the transportation engineering field.

How much do transportation engineers make?

Transportation engineers typically earn a median annual salary of around $80,000 to $100,000, depending on experience, education, and location.
