Job description

KKW Trucking, Inc. is a premier provider of transportation services in the Western United States. KKW provides over-the-road, dedicated and local truckload transportation services using ~400 tractors and 1100 trailers. KKW is a 60-year-old 100% employee-owned company and is looking for new talented associates.

Orientation Facilitator- Colton, CA

  • Full time, Monday-Friday (Saturdays if needed) 6:30 am to 3:30 pm

Job purpose

The Orientation Facilitator is responsible for delivering KKW's new driver orientation program, ensuring every new driver is prepared to operate safely, professionally, and in full compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and company requirements. This role combines classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel evaluation, coaching, technology training, and compliance administration to build a strong safety culture from day one.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct engaging new hire orientation classes.
  • Teach FMCSA, DOT, HOS, accident reporting, cargo securement, and company policies.
  • Evaluate driver knowledge and behind-the-wheel performance.
  • Train drivers on ELD/PeopleNet and company technology.
  • Complete Driver Qualification and onboarding documentation.
  • Coach drivers on safe driving behaviors and professionalism.
  • Coordinate with Recruiting, Operations, HR, Maintenance, and Safety.
  • When orientation classes are not in session, assist the Safety Department with driver log audits, driver coaching, safety documentation, compliance activities, accident follow-up, and other duties as assigned by the Safety Department.
  • Maintain accurate training records and recommend process improvements.

Education/Experience/License/Certifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Minimum 3 years commercial driving experience.
  • Knowledge of FMCSA regulations.
  • Strong public speaking and communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet systems.
