Position Summary:

As an Assistant Team Leader, you play a critical role in supporting the Team Leader in all aspects of store operations. You help lead the team, ensure operational excellence, and deliver consistent, high-quality customer experience.


This is a hands-on leadership role where you will actively work alongside your team-coaching, problem-solving, and ensuring daily execution meets company standards. You will also step in to lead the store in the Team Leader's absence.


Primary Responsibilities:

Provide coaching and support to drive performance

Promote a positive team environment

Lead the store in the Team Leader's absence


Operations

Support daily operations for smooth, consistent execution

Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and coverage

Handle cash, reports, and store paperwork accurately

Troubleshoot basic equipment issues


Sales & Inventory

Support ordering, stocking, and merchandising

Monitor inventory, reduce shrink, and maintain presentation

Drive sales through promotions and merchandising standards

Track performance and identify improvement opportunities


Customer Experience

Deliver exceptional customer service on every shift

Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally

Keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming


Compliance & Safety

Follow company policies and regulatory requirements

Support food, fuel, and workplace safety standards

Maintain a safe environment for employees and customers

Perform all other duties as assigned


Requirements & Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

6-9 months of assistant manager or related experience

Strong math, English communication, and problem-solving skills

Team-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Retail, convenience, food service, or supervisory experience preferred

Willingness to learn and grow into a Team Leader role

Must be at least 18 years of age


Physical Requirements:

The Assistant Team Leader position requires constant standing, bending and reaching with a moderate amount of manual dexterity, and frequent lifting up to 50 pounds. The Assistant Team Leader must be comfortable working in varied environments, which include outdoor areas during hot summer conditions as well as cold indoor spaces, such as walk-in freezers

Employee Incentives:

  • Employees that are with us for 6 months to 3 years = 0.10 cents off a gallon of fuel
  • Employees that are with us for 3 years to 5 years = 0.30 cents off a gallon of fuel
  • Employees that have been with us for 5+ years = 0.40 cents off a gallon of fuel
  • MAXIMUM 20 GALLONS AND 2 FILL UPS PER WEEK
