Cardinal Gibbons High School, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is hiring a full time Administrative Assistant to Admissions . This person will provide general administrative and clerical support to the Admissions Department as needed, and ensure the smooth, efficient daily operation of the Admissions Office in support of the school's enrollment goals. The candidate performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Responsibilities include:
  • Serve as a first point of contact for prospective families, answering inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Provide informed, welcoming campus tours to prospective students and families.
  • Maintain organized admissions records and databases, including application tracking and document management.
  • Assist with preparing admissions communications, reports, and materials, including mail merges.
  • Support the planning and execution of admissions events, including Open House, Principal's Dinner, feeder school visits, and new parent orientations.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Admissions to ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education, or related field (preferred).
  • 3 years or more years of experience, preferably in a school, admissions office setting and or sales.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Professional, welcoming, and service-oriented demeanor with prospective and current students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to handle confidential files and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Software Skills Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, Google Forms); mail merge and database familiarity.
  • Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including a clear speaking voice; Spanish language skills preferred.
  • Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in the Roman Catholic environment preferred.
  • Exemplify professionalism in behavior and performance, including adherence to dress code.
