Job description

Job Title: Assistant Director

Location: Spring Hill, TN

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $21.00-$24.00 Based on experience.

Kiddie Academy of Spring Hill is dedicated to providing high quality early childhood education and care in a nurturing, safe, and supportive environment. Our mission is to foster a love for learning and development in children while supporting their emotional, social, and cognitive growth. We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Assistant Director to join our leadership team and support the continued success of our center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and possess strong leadership and organizational skills.

Administrative Duties:

  • Must be experienced with TN State Licensing Rules & Regulations.
  • Strong administrative abilities to maintain and organize files, reports and required documentation.
  • Implement curriculum that fosters child development and learning.
  • Supervise and mentor teaching staff, providing continuous guidance and support.
  • Lead strategic planning efforts to improve program outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the center, including staff management, facility management, curriculum implementation, and child supervision.
  • Support the Director in maintaining compliance with licensing regulations, policies/procedures, and quality standards.
  • Support in hiring, training, and mentoring staff ensuring a positive work environment.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of educational programs and activities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding childrenโ€™s progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones.
  • Monitor the health, safety, and well being of all children in the center.

Qualifications:

  • Must have an Associate of Arts Degree or equivalent in Early Childhood Education.
  • A minimum of 3 years of management experience in a licensed childcare facility, with 1-2 years Assistant Director experience preferred.
  • Must meet all Tennessee state requirements to be in a licensed facility.
  • Must be able to lift 45 lbs and sit/stand for periods of time.
