We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Toronto Construction team! As an Assistant Project Manager, you will assist in the development and build of remarkable buildings, fostering enduring relationships with our people, partners, and clients while maintaining the Broccolini core values, Pride and Passion, Collaboration, Integrity, and Entrepreneurial Spirit.


The Assistant Project Manager (APM) plays a key role in the successful delivery of construction projects by supporting - and in some cases independently managing - all facets of a small project or defined components of larger projects. The APM is accountable for schedule, budget, quality, safety, and stakeholder coordination, while working closely with Project Managers, Project Directors, Superintendents, and internal teams.


Vacancy Status:Future Opportunity

What you will do as an Assistant Project Manager:

  • Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects from preconstruction through close-out
  • Maintain, update, and track detailed project schedules to monitor progress and identify potential impacts
  • Assist with project budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and overall financial performance tracking
  • Prepare monthly progress draws, client billings, and review purchase orders in accordance with company standards
  • Facilitate coordination between subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teams
  • Attend, document, and contribute to project meetings with clients, trades, and consultants
  • Support quality assurance processes, document control, and compliance with contract requirements
  • Monitor and help enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on site
  • Conduct regular site visits to support field coordination and track construction progress
  • Assist in identifying project risks and support mitigation strategies in collaboration with the project team
  • Support procurement activities, including trade tendering, scope reviews, and contract awards
  • Help drive project close-out activities, including turnover documentation and final deliverables


What You Will Bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  • An engineering degree or technical diploma in Construction, Building, Civil or Architecture
  • Understanding of contract terms and financials related to a construction project
  • Strong Architectural & Civil knowledge, with a basic concept of MEP systems.
  • Experience with Procore, Textura, Microsoft Excel & Project is an asset
