Job description

Assistant Project Manager
Gardena, CA 90248
POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Assist Project Managers with the administration and coordination of commercial construction projects from contract award through closeout
  • Prepare, track, and process change orders, including pricing, documentation, customer correspondence, and status reporting
  • Prepare and monitor California Preliminary Notices (20-Day Notices), lien waivers, mechanic's lien documentation, and other project compliance requirements to preserve G&C's payment rights
  • Coordinate submittals, RFIs, material requisitions, purchase orders, vendor quotations, and project correspondence to ensure timely procurement and project execution
  • Maintain project documentation, including contracts, subcontracts, insurance certificates, certified payroll records, permits, and project files in accordance with company procedures
  • Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to monitor material deliveries, and resolve procurement issues
  • Assist with project closeout activities, including final lien releases, warranty documentation, as-built documents, O&M manuals, and final invoicing
  • Prepare and maintain action item logs and provide administrative support to Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle
