The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP)

Are you an experienced Medical Assistant who is passionate about education, leadership, and helping others succeed? Are you ready to take the next step in your career and help shape the future of healthcare professionals? If so, CHCP wants to hear from you!

The College of Health Care Professions is seeking a Medical Assistant Assistant Program Director to support the leadership and daily operations of our Medical Assistant Program. This position offers the opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with education and leadership while making a lasting impact on students pursuing careers in healthcare.

What You'll Do

As the Medical Assistant Assistant Program Director, you will:

  • Support the management and growth of the Medical Assistant Program.
  • Assist with recruiting, training, mentoring, and evaluating faculty.
  • Monitor instructional quality and ensure course objectives are achieved in both classroom and blended learning environments.
  • Help maintain compliance with accrediting, state, and federal regulations.
  • Review student outcomes and assist with continuous program improvement efforts.
  • Participate in curriculum reviews and program development initiatives.
  • Support advisory committee activities and community outreach efforts.
  • Assist with student advising, orientations, and enrollment support as needed.
  • Collaborate with campus leadership to promote student success and program excellence.
  • Help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the program.
QualificationsRequired
  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification or registration through a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
  • ABHES and TWC approved Instructor status.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of full-time healthcare experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
  • Previous teaching or training experience.
