Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Truck Maintenance Assistant to support our Lead Maintenance Technician in performing a variety of mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks. This role primarily involves automotive maintenance and repairs on our fleet of pick-up trucks. The ideal candidate will have handyman skills and a willingness to learn and grow in the skilled trades field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Lead Maintenance Technician with mechanical repairs and routine maintenance on company vehicles.
  • Perform general automotive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
  • Support other maintenance-related functions as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the fleet.
  • Utilize handyman skills to assist with minor repairs and upkeep around the facility.
  • Learn and develop new skills under the guidance of the Lead Maintenance Technician.
  • Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair and reports them to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Performs general repairs on equipment that do not require a specialized technician.
  • Performs routine maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
  • Takes direction from the Maintenance lead
  • Ability to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks.
  • Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments.
