Perfect Afternoon is looking for an experienced, hands-on Director of Marketing to lead digital marketing strategies for a diverse group of clients. This is both a leadership and working role.


The ideal candidate understands how paid media, SEO, AEO, content, email, websites, landing pages, analytics, and conversion optimization work together to produce measurable results.You will guide our marketing team, work directly with clients, oversee campaigns, and help improve how we use AI and automation across the agency.

Lead Marketing Strategy

  • Develop marketing strategies based on each client's goals, audience, budget, and growth opportunities
  • Turn business objectives into clear campaign plans, timelines, and performance goals
  • Connect marketing activity to qualified leads, sales, revenue, and return on investment
  • Present strategies, results, and recommendations directly to clients

Oversee Digital Campaigns

Plan, manage, and improve campaigns across channels such as:

  • Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising
  • Meta, LinkedIn, and other social platforms
  • Email marketing and automation
  • Display and remarketing
  • Organic search and content marketing
  • Video and emerging digital platforms


Ensure that targeting, messaging, creative, landing pages, offers, and tracking work together as one strategy.


Direct SEO /AEO

Lead the Team

  • Lead, mentor, and support members of the marketing team

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience managing or mentoring marketing professionals

  • Strong knowledge of SEO and emerging AEO practices
  • Experience with websites, landing pages, CRO, and analytics
  • Experience using AI tools or agents to improve workflows or client outcomes
  • Experience with WordPress or a similar CMS
  • Proficiency with GA4, GSC, Ads, and reporting tools
  • HubSpot proficiency, including forms, workflows, CRM data, and lead-generation processes
  • Familiarity with paid social, email marketing, CRM systems, and marketing automation
  • Experience developing strategies, budgets, forecasts, and reports
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and client-management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple clients, campaigns, projects, and deadlines
  • Strong judgment, curiosity, organization, and attention to detail
  • Mac proficiency

A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Ideal candidates will live in the Detroit area and be available to work in our Pleasant Ridge office as part of a hybrid schedule.
