Job description

We’re a tight-knit, family-owned roofing company that has been keeping Tucson dry for years — and we’re growing fast. We’re looking for a sharp, motivated Controller who doesn’t just close the books, but owns them. This isn’t a back-office position. You’ll have a real seat at the table, real visibility, and real impact on how we operate day to day.
What You’ll Own

  • Full responsibility for accounting operations, including month-end close, reporting, and cash flow management
  • Improving accuracy, timeliness, and visibility of financial data
  • Identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and risks—and implementing solutions
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting, and cash planning during a critical phase
  • Partnering with ownership to navigate financial challenges and drive better decisions
  • Establishing processes, controls, and systems that support long-term stability
  • Managing external partners (CPA, tax, etc.) and internal team members

What We’re Looking For

  • 3-7+ years of experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader, ideally in a fast-paced or evolving environment
  • Strong grasp of GAAP, cash flow management, and financial controls
  • Experience in turnaround, restructuring, or cleaning up financials is a major plus
  • A builder + problem-solver mindset—you don’t wait for perfect conditions
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and execute in a changing environment
  • Clear communicator who can turn financial data into actionable insight

Why This Role Matters

  • Make a real impact: Your work will directly influence the company’s financial stability and future
  • High visibility: Work closely with ownership and leadership on key decisions
  • Opportunity to build: You’ll help create the systems, structure, and discipline needed to succeed
  • Career-defining role: This is a chance to lead through challenge—not just manage success
