Description & Details:Β 

Connelly School of the Holy ChildΒ seeksΒ an energetic, highly organized, and detail-oriented Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of fundraising, donor,Β alumnae, admissions, and schoolwide events. Reporting to theΒ DevelopmentΒ Office, the Events ManagerΒ is responsible forΒ managing all aspects of event production, ensuring a seamless experience for guests while advancingΒ Holy Child'sΒ mission, community engagement, and fundraising goals.Β While event planning and executionΒ compriseΒ the primary focus of the role, the Events Manager also provides operational support to theΒ DevelopmentΒ Office to enhance efficiency, constituent engagement, and fundraising success throughout the year.Β 

The successful candidate will be a skilled project manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and enjoys collaborating with colleagues, vendors, volunteers, and community partners.Β 

Key responsibilities:Β Β 

  • Event Planning and ManagementΒ 
    • Lead the planning and execution ofΒ DevelopmentΒ andΒ keyΒ schoolwide events from concept through post-event evaluation.Β 
    • Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and eventΒ logisticsΒ to ensure successful execution.Β 
    • Coordinate all event details, including registration, catering, rentals, audiovisual needs, signage, transportation, guest management, and facility setup.Β 
    • Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring a high-quality guest experience.Β 
    • Manage event calendars and planning schedules in collaboration with school leadership and department partners.Β 
  • Gala and Fundraising EventsΒ 
    • Serve as the primary project manager for theΒ School'sΒ annual Spring Gala & Auction.Β 
    • Coordinate eventΒ logistics, sponsorship fulfillment, auction operations, and guest experience.Β 
    • Work closely withΒ DevelopmentΒ staff, volunteers, and vendors to support fundraising goals.Β 
    • Track event expenses and revenue in partnership with the Business Office andΒ DevelopmentΒ team.Β 
    • AssistΒ with donor stewardship and recognition activities associated with fundraising events.Β 
  • Schoolwide and Community EventsΒ 
    • Coordinate major institutional events in partnership with Admissions, Athletics, Academics, and School Leadership.Β 
    • Support events such as Open House, Head of School Dinner, Blue/Gold Games, donor receptions,Β alumnaeΒ events, and other key community gatherings.Β 
    • Ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with theΒ School'sΒ mission and brand standards across all events.Β 
  • Vendor and Budget ManagementΒ 
    • Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with event vendors, venues, caterers, and service providers.Β 
    • Secure high-quality services whileΒ maintainingΒ fiscal responsibility.Β 
    • Manage event budgets, contracts, invoices, and payments in coordination with the Business Office.Β 
    • MaintainΒ accurateΒ event records, timelines, and expenditure reports.Β 
  • Event Communications and EvaluationΒ 
    • Coordinate event invitations, registration materials, signage, programs, and event-related communications in partnership with the Communications Office.Β 
    • Monitor registration and attendance data.Β 
    • Conduct post-event evaluations and provide recommendations for future improvements.Β 
    • Manage event recordkeeping, attendee tracking, and reporting.Β 
  • DevelopmentΒ Operations SupportΒ 
    • Provide administrative and operational support to theΒ DevelopmentΒ Office, particularly during periods of lower event activity.Β 
    • AssistΒ with event-related data management, reporting, and constituent record maintenance in school fundraising and engagement platforms.Β 
    • Support donor stewardship efforts through gift acknowledgment processes, mailing coordination, and event-related follow-up.Β 
    • Maintain event documentation, vendor records, timelines, and departmental procedures to support organizational continuity and efficiency.Β 
    • AssistΒ with special projects, data cleanup, and otherΒ DevelopmentΒ initiatives as assigned.Β 
  • School EngagementΒ 
    • Maintain an active presence on campus to build relationships and effectively represent Holy Child's mission and culture.Β 
    • Support a collaborative and service-oriented culture consistent with the school's values and traditions.Β 
    • This individual will have an active presence on campus to ensure they may accuratelyΒ representΒ how Holy Child is living out the mission of building the next generation of women of Actions Not Words.Β 

Requirements

Qualifications:Β 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experienceΒ 
  • Three to five years of event planning, hospitality, fundraising, or related experienceΒ 
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skillsΒ 
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilitiesΒ 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detailΒ 
  • Experience managing budgets and vendor relationshipsΒ 
  • ProficiencyΒ in Microsoft Office Suite.Β 
  • High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential informationΒ 
  • Commitment to embrace the school's mission and valuesΒ 
  • Strong understanding of, and respect for, Catholic faith, beliefs, and practiceΒ 

Preferred Qualifications:Β Β 

  • Experience planning fundraising or donor engagement eventsΒ 
  • Experience in an independent school, nonprofit, or higher education settingΒ 
  • Familiarity with Veracross, Raiser's Edge,Β OneCause, or similar platformsΒ 
  • Experience coordinating large-scale events with multiple stakeholdersΒ 
  • Knowledge of event registration and auction softwareΒ
