About the Role
As the CFO at Beyond International Group, you will lead financial operations and steer the direction of accounting practices to support the sustainable growth of the company. This full-time role is based in Houston, TX, and will work directly with the senior partnership team to shape financial strategies, optimize the financial system, and ensure the company meets its financial goals.
This role requires a forward-thinking and communicative leader, who will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting forecasting, Tax planning and strategy, investor accounting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the company's financial strategy, ensuring it supports overall business objectives and growth. Provide strategic advice to the executive team and Board of Directors on financial planning and performance.
  • Oversee the finance department and other operational departments, ensuring efficient processes and effective team management. Implement best practices for operational efficiency and performance.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with capital markets, including investors, banks, and other financial institutions. Utilize these connections to support capital raising, financing, and strategic investment opportunities.
  • Lead and oversee the yearly budget and quarterly reforecast processes. Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends to support strategic decision making
  • Manage monthly and quarterly corporate and funds closing process to ensure accounting tasks are completed accurately and timely, including the group consolidated financial reporting for US and overseas entities.
  • Collaborate with tax adviser on tax compliance, distribution calculations and other special projects to ensure timely filing of federal and state tax returns, including collection of K-1s from portfolio companies and distribution of K-1s, 1099s,1042s, etc.
  • Partner across departments in the planning and integration of systems, improving financial management tools related to performance, defining roles and responsibilities and delivering effective improvements to processes as part of the fund investment initiative.
  • Manage relationships with key counterparties related to financial operations.
  • Collaborate with fund operation team on the preparation of fund's cash distribution and waterfall calculations as part of the disposition process
  • Lead annual fund audit, including the preparation of schedules, liaising with the auditors, and responding to open items.

Qualifications
  • At least 10+ years of financial management experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role. Proven experience as an operational CFO with expertise in managing financial and operational departments.
  • Strong ties to capital markets with experience in raising capital, managing investor relations, and executing financing strategies.
  • Deep understanding of financial industry and private investment, with experience in private deal / fund capital formation and fund accounting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and manage teams. Strong strategic thinking, communication, organization and decision-making skills, with experience working closely with executive teams and boards of directors.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. Expertise in financial software and systems, with advanced analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly present complex financial information to various stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements related to private credit and real estate finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA, CPA, or other relevant advanced degrees or certifications are preferred.
  • Must be able to commute to Houston, TX.

$150k - $200k base salary + performance bonus.
