What we need:
Mohawk is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the Mohawk Wood & Laminate division. This role is a key member of the Facilities Maintenance team, responsible for helping plan and execute tasks critical to maintaining and improving the facility.
What you'll do:
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Perform general facility repairs, including walls, doors, ceilings, and restrooms.
  • Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of:
  • Production area lighting
  • Production and safety equipment
  • Office equipment, furniture, and workstations
  • Support preventative maintenance activities such as servicing, adjusting, repairing, and installing machinery.
  • Collaborate with team members to repair or remove machines, machine parts, and minor electrical components.
  • Inspect, monitor, and maintain:
  • Roofing systems and rooftop equipment
  • Dust collection systems
  • Eye wash stations
  • Boilers, air compressors, and other facility systems
  • Maintain facility grounds and structures, ensuring they remain clean, orderly, and free of debris.
  • Assist with interior and exterior upkeep, including painting, pressure washing, and minor landscaping.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

What you have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Welding and machine shop experience preferred; certification is a plus.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office

  • Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings
  • Strong mathematical aptitude
