Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist the UPG staff with responsibilities related to the productions.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists the University Productions Technical Director in various capacities.
  • Assist departments as assigned
  • Leading and mentoring student workers within the UPG departments.
  • As scheduled, attend evening and weekend rehearsals and events.
  • Encourage spiritual growth of staff and students under your supervision.
  • Contribute to a spirit of unity among the Production Group.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Ability to focus within a sometimes loud environment and to work autonomously to achieve defined goals.
    • Strong attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and consistent follow-through (denoting an organized, efficient, and effective professional).
    • Flexibility, with a willingness to learn and adapt to unforeseen circumstances.
    • A kind and cordial nature in dealing with people.
    • Dependability in showing up and diligence getting tasks done on time.
    • Experience in the Theatre and/or desire to work in a theatre environment preferred
    • Organizational skills in scheduling and expense tracking preferred
    • Some skill in sewing makeup or hair preferred
