Koniag Information Security Services is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee the complete lifecycle of Information Technology projects for our government customer. This role involves managing, coordinating, and establishing priorities for IT projects from planning through implementation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Agile methodologies, Identity and Access Management, AWS GovCloud systems, and ITIL practices. This position requires a Public Trust (Tier 4/6c) security clearance.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing complex IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet organizational objectives within established time frames and budget constraints. Principal responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the complete lifecycle of Information Technology projects, including planning, design, programming, testing, and implementation
  • Determining project needs and acquiring resources required for project success
  • Designing comprehensive project plans that identify needs and define major tasks and milestones based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel
  • Utilizing Agile methodologies to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects
  • Defining project scope and schedules, breaking large projects into manageable sequences to improve team efficiency
  • Supervising Information Technology operations encompassing user systems, integration, deployment, and training activities across diverse operating environments
  • Managing agile development teams and assessing how enhancements, defects, or other requests impact application architecture
  • Presenting project status and technical materials to senior Government officials
  • Collaborating with internal service delivery teams, client project teams, external service providers, and subcontractors
  • Monitoring and controlling project execution to ensure successful, high-quality, and on-budget completion

 

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience supporting Information Technology as a Project Manager
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with planning, management, and execution of large-scale and complex IT projects
  • Experience supervising substantial Information Technology operations across diverse environments

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong technical understanding of Information Technology, Identity and Access Management, and AWS GovCloud systems and services
  • Project management proficiency with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL Foundation) knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques
  • Expert knowledge of recent technological advances in computer science and engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to present material to senior Government officials
  • Proven experience in executing, monitoring, and managing projects to successful, high-quality, and on-budget completion
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software
